25 people from Jhansa in district Kurukshetra came forward and donated blood at Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh. This comes amidst the Corona crisis, when holding of blood donation camps has become a rarity. The group had an able motivator in the form of Dr. Sant Ram .Dr Sant Ram is the president of an NGO called ‘ May I help you’. This is registered body and all the donors are member of this NGO. All necessary precautions including wearing of masks, social distancing were followed during blood donation.

This  kind gesture of donating blood during this national calamity, in fact would be of immense help to the needy patients as the Deptt. of Transfusion Medicine is unable to hold voluntary blood donation camps due to imposition of curfew and lockdown since 23 March, 2020.
