BJP starts blood donation helpline, eight members to donate blood daily during the crisis

Chandigarh: In response to the mounting shortage of blood units in blood bank of PGI, C

handigarh, local unit of BJP has geared up to fulfill the requisite. Party has launched a blood donation helpline – 8558888802 and 7986515241 wherein any donor can approach to join the campaign.

At the sidelines of helpline, unit president Arun Sood will formally kick off another mass movement by himself donating the blood  with seven other members on the pious occasion of Baisakhi & Ambedkar Jyanti (April 14) at PGI’s blood bank. Party affirms that a total of eight members will be donating the blood at PGI on daily basis.

According to Suchet Sachdev from Department of Blood Transfusion, PGI the bank will cater the donors in a sanitized bus under the guidance of expert technicians during this campaign.

“It hurts when you realize ailing patients and thalassemia children underwent with a huge amount of pain. We understand PGI and patients crisis, hence will continue our mission till the end of this pandemic” said Arun Sood.
