Celebration of World Environment Day 2023 for Adopting ‘Lifestyle for Environment’

Chandigarh: 61 children (36 Girls & 25 Boys) residing in Children Home being run by the Department of Social Welfare i.e. Snehalaya for Boys, Maloya Chandigarh and Snehalaya for Girls, Sector-15, Chandigarh were felicitated by Shri. Banwarilal Purohit, Hon'ble Governor of Punjab & Administrator of U.T., Chandigarh on winning 08 Gold, 32 Silver and 21 Bronze Medal in Rugby Championship Sub-Junior (under-14) & Junior (under-18) held from 29.4.23 to 30.4.23 organized by State Rugby Football Association at Punjab University, Chandigarh. ​​Children Home, Snehalaya for Boys & Snehalaya for Girls is being run by the Department of Social Welfare, UT Chandigarh wherein children in need of care & protection under different categories such as orphan, single parent, children engaged in child begging & labor, victims of child sexual abuse etc. are placed in order to ensure their rehabilitation and reintegra
