Chandigarh: Dubbing the entire Mohalla Clinics as a charade to mislead the public and taking credit for actually doing nothing concrete to improve the health infrastructure Mr Anil Sarin chief spokesperson of the BJP said that the AAP government was responsible for mismanagement of crores of rupees given by the centre for improving the health infrastructure in the state.
Addressing a press conference here today at the party headquarters Mr Sarin reasoned that not one new clinic has been constructed by the Bhagwant Singh Mann government and already existing health clinics have been painted and slight changes made . However since AAP specialises in Propaganda it is busy portraying that 400 clinics have been gifted to the state by the state government. It is unfortunate that Arvind Kejriwal is trying to mislead .
Claiming that from April 2022 to November 2022 the central government under National Health scheme had given funds to the states and Punjab had received 348 crores . “ so where is the logic that Mr Bhagwant Singh Mann is taking credit” it is the funds of the central government which have been utilised. However controversial reports on the use of these funds have emerged. Said Mr Sarin.
It is believed that on 18.11.2022 a letter was issued to all Deputy Commissioners and civil surgeons to polish up the all ready existing 521 primary health centres so where have these new 400 clinics come up in the state? Said Sarin.
The Bhagwant Singh Mann government did not stop here to shamelessly propagate propaganda it used crores of rupees of the tax payers money to advertise that 400 clinics were being opened. When an IAS officer raised the misuse of funds on advertising the chief Minister posted him out and started an inquiry against him. Said the chief spokesman of BJP Mr Sarin.
Raising serious questions on functioning of these clinics Sarin said that not one single doctor has been appointed and all these clinics will be run by the old staff. Doctors who were working at primary health centres will only work now at AAM Adami clinics . It is the general public which will suffer . He said.
The Chief Minister Mr Bhagwant Singh Mann is also a culprit for stopping the flagship “ Ayshuman health scheme “ which gave five lakhs to needy patients. These 400 clinics are not equipped to treat major or minor surgeries . The Ayushman scheme was a great relief to the common man but unfortunately AAM Adami Party is actually never thinking of the AAM Adami it is busy in false propaganda . It is an unfortunate day for Punjab . Lamented Mr Sarin.
