Efforts of BJP Medical Cell paid off, cancer medicine cheaper now

Transtuzumab, a medicine for breast cancer and stomach cancer, has been made affordable by Glenmark Company, on this subject, on May 26, Arun Sood, State BJP President and Prince Bhandula, BJP Medical Cell Convener, wrote a letter to The health minister of India Mansukh Mandaviya complaining about this expensive medicine. He was told that the price of the medicine was kept by the company at Rs. 54,000, while the dealer's price was Rs. 12,000, after which the government immediately took action and asked the company to reduce the price. Immediate Action was taken by Govt and today it has been reduced by 15000 instead of 54000. Prince Bhandula thanked the Union Health Minister and said that this action would benefit thousands of poor cancer patients.
