MP and Mayor extended Lohri wishes to all citizensMCC organizes colourful function

Chandigarh: The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has organized a colourful function to mark Lohri in office premises, Sector 17, here today.

Kirron Kher, Member Parliament, Chandigarh was the chief guest during the colorful program while Sarbjit Kaur, Mayor and Anindita Mitra, IAS, Commissioner, MCC were also present during the programme. Councilors of MCC and all officers and officials enjoyed the celebrations.

The Member Parliament and Mayor distributed sweets, Mungfali and Gachak to the employees of MCC and extended their greetings to people on the occasion of Lohri and wished for endless happiness in everyone’s lives.

The office premises of MCC was prepared for this event in a beautiful way. The programme started with the ceremonial bonfire followed by cultural performances of MCC employees along with folk songs of Punjab.

Lohri which is incomplete without bhangra and giddha has been seen it's true colours on the beats of dhol, special dance performances besides music performances by employees of MCC.
