Summer camp 2023-‘UTKARSH’

Summer camp 2023-‘UTKARSH’, is organized by ISKCON Chandigarh at HARE KRISHNA DHAM, SECTOR 36-B, CHANDIGARH. This camp has something different from the other camps going around. The main aim of this camp was to give an opportunity to the children to be their natural self…… away from the academic world to the spiritual environment and to imbibe moral values like honesty, truthfulness, behaviour, obedience and respect for all, among children which are the firmed base of each human being and this is what the most of the children are lacking due to the nuclear families and shortage of time given to the children by their parents due to their busy schedule. More than hundred fifty children from Class Ist to Class X participated in this camp. Here, they learnt moral and spiritual values through Singing & dancing, Art & Craft, Skit & role play and Sankirtana under the guidance of the expert devotees and they experience the “magical” joy…. Many competitions from time to time were also held in the camp like; calligraphy, recitation, elocution and role play etc.

On the final day of celebration of the camp, the children performed their talents in the ISKCON premises, Hare Krishna Dham, Sector-36 B Chandigarh. The crafts, drawings and paintings made by participants are also displayed for the parents and visitors, which were highly appreciated by the parents and the grand parents of the children. The Sumptuous loving feast (Krishna prasadam) is served to allat the end of the festival. The certificates and gifts are distributed to all the children by HG Nand Maharaj prabhu ji, Regional Secretary of ISKCON Chandigarh/Panchkula.
